Department of Community Medicine

This course has been developed for Post-graduate students of Community Medicine so that they are able to build a glossary for important concepts and short topics for peer learning.

This course has been created for the students pursuing PGDMCH Course at MGIMS, Sewagram.

This is the first part of the online course developed to complement 'Community-based Medical Education' at MGIMS, Sewagram through the Social Service Camp and Village Adoption Scheme. It will provide students access to learning resources, a platform to share their experiences and post their queries. It will also help us prepare database for family and community diagnosis.

The material of this course is taken mainly from the CDC's Epidemiology in Public Health Practice course. The full CDC self study course is available from http://www.cdc.gov/ophss/csels/dsepd/ss1978/

This course is for facilitating learning of our students during their monthly adopted village visits.  The course provides information on the identified topics as well as options for individual and group exercises that students may perform on the given topic during their adopted village visit.
