Ajab Dhabarde

Professor

Dr Ajab Dhabarde belongs to the batch of 1993. He graduated from MGIMS in 1997. He worked as a medical officer in Manek Hospital located in a village, Madgi (Tumsar, Dist. Bhandara, eastern Maharashtra) for two years and obtained MS (Ophthalmology) in April 2004 from MGIMS. He subsequently did a  Phaco fellowship at Bombay City Eye Institute and Research Centre, Mumbai in 2005.

In September 2005, Dr Dhabarde joined the department of Ophthalmology at MGIMS as an assistant professor.  He did a fellowship in diagnosis and management of glaucoma from Aravind Eye Hospital, Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu in November 2008.  He has participated in cataract operative camps organized by Lions Club at Anandwan Eye hospital Warora, Chandrapur; and by  Bombay city Eye Institute and Research Center at Una district in Gujarat.  Active in running glaucoma and cataract clinic at MGIMS, he also looks after patients with diverse ocular disorders - both  in the hospital and the community.
