Kasturba Hospital now offers cardiac services under MJPJAY scheme

Kasturba Hospital, Sevagram recently got empaneled under Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY) for carrying out Cardiac diagnostic tests like Angioplasty and Angiography in its vascular center. Kasturba Hospital shall now be able to register patients under the universal health scheme run by the Government of Maharashtra for the underprivileged people of the state.  

Kasturba Hospital’s angiography suite is equipped with sophisticated technology that produces high-resolution images with the lowest dose of radiation possible. It also has a ten-bedded intensive coronary care unit (ICCU) that offers affordable, appropriate and accessible cardiac healthcare to people with limited resources.  

Since opening in November of 2014, the hospital has successfully performed over 1500 procedures comprising of 1400 angiographies and 152 angioplasties. Renowned cardiologists - Dr Ram Ghodeswar and Dr Vipul Setha perform these procedures on every Tuesdays and Fridays.
