On 24 October 2021, Mr. Zatin Mathi, Senior Radiotherapy Technologist from the department of Radiotherapy, MGIMS won the Best Paper Award at ARTTICON-2021. The 25th National Conference of Association of Radiation Therapy Technologists of India (ARTTI) and Global meet of Radiation Therapists was organized virtually by the Association of Radiation Therapy Technologists of India. Mr. Zatin got selected for his oral presentation entitled 'Does biweekly portal imaging ensure adequate dose delivery to gross tumor volume in cancer cervix treated with IMRT?' The prestigious award consisted of a trophy and certificate.
The presentation mainly focused on the importance of adaptive IMRT plans that should be incorporated in Cancer Cervix cases where gross tumor regression or spatial changes are usually seen after 3-4 weeks of radiation treatment for optimum accurate dose delivery, thereby achieving the goal of radiation therapy. The presentation was well appreciated by prominent conference scientific judges and jury members. Dr. Datta (Head of Radiotherapy Department, MGIMS), Dr Ashok Singh, Dr. Kalbande, Dr. Jain, Dr. Kale, Mr. Nilavarsu, Mr. Hatekar and all staff of Radiotherapy congratulated Mr. Zatin for his outstanding achievement and making MGIMS family proud at national level.
