A special session of Academy of Medical Sciences in commemoration of the World Tuberculosis Day 2016 was hosted at MGIMS, Sevagram in SN Hall. World TB Dayis an annual event designed to build public awareness about the causes as well as precautions of TB. The theme for this year was " Unite to End TB".

The final oral presentation round of the prestigious Sushrut awards 2016 for the best PG thesis project for this year was conducted under the aegis of MGIMS Academy of Medical Sciences.

A total of 20 entries were received for the awards. They were sent in a group of 5 synopses per evaluator to a panel of illustrious reviewers comprising of
