Dr Nitin Gangane was awarded PhD from the Umea University in Sweden on 29 Mar 2018 for his work on knowledge, attitudes and practices of women about breast cancer; reasons for delay in seeking health care; system delays in initiating early treatment; and quality of life in breast cancer survivors.
Dr AM Mehendale was awarded the Dr DK Ramadwar Oration award for the topic ‘Health Promotion, Salutogenesis and Mind Body Medicine’at the 45th National IAPSM Conference, Maharashtra Chapter and 19th Maharashtra State Joint IAPSM and IPHA Conference at Pune on 9-11 March 2018.

Dr Neha Gangane topped the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences MD (Obstetrics and gynecology) examination and was awarded the Late Dr R Anjaneyulu Memorial Gold Medal at the 2017 Convocation Ceremony of MUHS.

Vidit Panchal, undergraduate student of 2013 batch, won the Best Research Paper awardfor his paper “An investigative study on impact of smoking on visual evoked response of healthy volunteers” at OSMECON 2017, a national level medical undergraduate conference held at Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad from 10-12 Aug 2017.
Dr Suddha SattwaBandyopadhyay and Dr Atul Sonar, postgraduate students from the Dept of Pathology were the first runners up at the State level Pathology quiz held at JNMC, Sawangi.

Mr Vidit Panchal (2013 batch) also bagged third prize for his presentation at a national level undergraduate conference, INVENTUM 2016 which was held at Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni, Maharashtra from 28- 30 Apr 2016.
