DD Gosavi

Dr Gosavi obtained his MBBS and MD from Nagpur University and began his academic career in 1999.

Dr Gosavi has published several research papers in national and international journals and has presented his work in national and international conferences. He is an undergraduate and postgraduate teacher and also a postgraduate guide. He has guided five postgraduate students and mentored a student for ICMR short term studentship.

He has delivered lectures on topics as diverse as therapeutic drug monitoring, gene therapy and National vector borne disease control programme. He was also the national level trainer for vector borne disese control programme of India. Acknowledged as an expert in conducting the intercollege quiz in Pharmacology, he has been a quiz master since several years. He is on the Editorial board of Sewamed, a quarterly publication from MGIMS and International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Chemical sciences.

Secretary of Academy of Medical Sciences at MGIMS, he is also working as Joint Coordinator, Internal Quality Assurance Cell in the institute. His areas of interest are reverse pharmacology(Ayurveda), gene therapy and Pharmacovigilance.
