Kiran Wandile

Professor

Dr Kiran Wandile is an MGIMS alumnus- he belongs to the class of 1993. After MBBS, he did his rural service in Jayaben Modi Hospital, Ankleshwar (Gujarat). He obtained MS (Orthopaedics) from MGIMS in 2003. He wrote a thesis on closed intramedullary nailing in displaced diaphyseal fractures of humerus for his MS. Soon, he joined the department as an assistant Professor. In 2008, he was declared successful in the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination and joined Indira Gandhi Government Medical College, Nagpur as assistant professor. In 2011, he was selected as an associate professor in Orthopaedics by the MPSC and was posted at Shankarrao Chavan Government Medical College, Nanded. A few months later, he returned to his department in the alma mater as associate professor.

During his professional career, he wrote and presented several research papers in the state, national and International conferences. In March 2012, he presented a paper on Ilizarov method for fracture shaft tibia at conference held in Greece. Interested in joint replacement and spine surgeries, Dr Kiran loves to teach graduate and post-graduate students and applies innovations in teaching methodology in his lectures and bedside clinics.
