Smita Jategaonkar

Working as a Professor in the department of Pediatrics with 23 years of experience in the field of general pediatrics and Neonatology. She has completed MBBS from Lokmanya Tilak Medical college and Municipal Hospital, Sion, Mumbai and MD from Grant Medical College and JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai in 2000 with Diplomat of National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. She has successfully completed the post graduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics from IHCA, Chennai in 2002 and recently awarded with Diploma in Allergy and Asthma at CMC Vellore in collaboration with International Asthma Services, USA. She is a life member of Indian Academy of Pediatrics and IAP- Respiratory Chapter and NNF. She has completed advance course in Medical Technology (ACME) and has a keen interest in teaching, clinical ward rounds and research with various International and National Publications. Her areas of interest are infectious diseases in Pediatrics, Nutrition in Children, Asthma, Allergic diseases and Neonatology. She is a certified Emotional Quotient Trainer from EQUIPOISE, Thane under the guidance of Dr. Sandeep Kelkar and Yoga – Diploma Holder from Ghantali Mitra Mandal Thane under the guidance of Yogacharya Shri Vyavahare. She is involved with great interest in various activities conducted by Geeta-Parivaar, founded by Shri Govind-Dev Giri.
