Fire Safety Training at MGIMS

A full one day fire safety training was conducted by Nagpur Fire Brigade’s Fire and Emergency Services Department under leadership of Shri Keshao Kothe along with 3 trainers at MGIMS, Sevagram on October 14, 2016. This training was conducted in 3 sessions comprising of audio-visual interactive session, fire rescue and fire safety equipment demonstration. It was attended by about 500 participants comprising of medical doctors, nurses, medical and nursing students, support staff and patients’ relatives. The training was deemed to be highly informative and engrossing by the participants.

MGIMS Sevagram is committed to safety and this training on fire safety management is a part of total safety management. The Institute has planned a series of trainings on fire safety for whole of its staff followed by complete fire drill. It has already installed necessary safety equipments and a fire safety management team has been constituted. The team is working under the guidance of Shri Dhirubhai Mehta President Kasturba Health Society, Dr BS Garg, Secretary Kasturba Health Society, Dr KR Patond Dean MGIMS and Dr SP Kalantri MS Kasturba Hospital Sevagram.
