Secretary, Kasturba Health Society, Sevagram, Wardha, Maharashtra invites applications for the post of Assistant Professor (one) in Radiotherapy at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in the prescribed proforma. The department of Radiotherapy on an average treats around 1100 patients annually and is equipped with a linear accelerator with IGRT & IMRT capabilities (M/s Varian), telecobalt (Phoenix), high-dose-rate brachytherapy unit (M/s Elekta), hyperthermia unit and is in the process of acquiring a wide-bore CT-simulator shortly. Chemotherapy for all solid tumors is within the domain of activities of the department. The department runs a postgraduate training programme in radiotherapy (MD) and is actively involved in quality assured clinical radiation therapy, teaching, training and research in radiation oncology and medical physics.
