MGIMS awarded A+ grade by NAAC

Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS) has been awarded the prestigious NAAC A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). This achievement serves as a testament to MGIMS's unwavering commitment to providing exceptional education and upholding the highest standards of academic excellence. NAAC is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to assess and accredit higher education institutions in India. The accreditation process evaluates various aspects of an institution, including its infrastructure, teaching and learning processes, research activities, governance, and social impact.

The A+ grade awarded to MGIMS is a testament to its exceptional performance across these domains. “As MGIMS celebrates this significant milestone, it remains committed to its mission of providing quality healthcare education that combines the best of tradition and innovation. The institute will continue to evolve its curriculum, enhance research capabilities, and foster an environment for innovation to create a transformative learning experience for its students” says Dr AK Shukla (Dean, MGIMS). “The recognition also acknowledges the tireless efforts of the faculty, staff, and students who have contributed to the institute's growth and success. The NAAC A+ grade reaffirms MGIMS’ position as one of the best medical institutes in the country. It will encourage students and faculty to aspire to greater heights in education, research, and healthcare. Dr Shukla adds.

Shri Dhirubhai Mehta (President, Kasturba Health Society) expressed great pride and gratitude upon receiving the NAAC A+ grade. He said, "This achievement is a reflection of our collective dedication towards academic excellence, research, and community service. We have always strived to provide a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment for our students and staff, and this recognition further strengthens our resolve to continue delivering exceptional education."

“Our institute has consistently been at the forefront of medical education, producing highly skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals who contribute to the well-being of society. The institute's focus on holistic development, hands-on training, and community engagement sets it apart and prepares its graduates to excel in their chosen fields”, says Dr Poonam Shivkumar Varma (Medical Superintendent, Kasturba Hospital).

It is a moment of pride for the MGIMS community and a recognition of its outstanding contributions to medical education and research. “We are defined by the quality of our institution. Let's keep the positive momentum going and work towards bigger and better goals.”, said Dr Anshu (Professor of Pathology and Coordinator, Internal Quality Assurance Cell).
