21st training course on
Molecular techniques as applied for infectious disease research

Department of Biochemistry & JB Tropical Disease Research Centre, MGIMS, Sevagram is going to organize 21st hands on short-term training course on ‘Molecular techniques as applied for infectious disease research’ during February 22-27, 2016. It is open for Faculty members / Post-graduates / PhD and research students working in medical and research institutes. Candidates should possess a qualification of M.Sc. / M. Pharm. / MD/ PhD.
This foundation course includes hands on training on basic & routine molecular biology techniques viz., Cloning, Expression and Purification of recombinant proteins, Real-Time PCR; Analytical techniques like 2D-Gel Electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting; Immunological techniques that include Immunodiagnostic, immunomodulatory & cellular assays, cytokine assays; in vitro parasite culture and drug screening assays. Some of the experts working in the areas related to the theme of the course will share their experiences during the course.
